Cockpit Innovation and Lufthansa Systems formed a unique strategic partnership for aviation and travel innovation, under this partnership Lufthansa Systems supported with identifying and cultivating breakthrough startup technologies. Lufthansa System played an active role in the process of locating and selecting startups to collaborate with Cockpit, by sending experts from the company to work with the startups on relevant developments.
After a long process of screening and sourcing technologies, we have selected 6 promising startups out of 300 companies, to explore a potential commercial partnership with Lufthansa Systems. Each of the selected companies participated in a tailor made workshop in 
Lufthansa Systems’s headquarters in Germany. Overall, 40 participants from 5 business units took part in 6 workshops. Upon completion of the process, Lufthansa Systems made commercial connections between the startups and its potential customers out of a customer base of hundreds of airline customers, tourism, and air and ground service providers, for the purpose of providing better value and expand their product and service portfolio
