Aleph Farms grows real steaks from isolated cow cells. The company’s proprietary 3D platform uses various types of cells to form complex tissue, ensuring an end product that resembles the taste, texture, and structure of conventional farmed meat.

Aleph Farms’ technology was developed with Professor Shulamit Levenberg at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology.

In October 2020, Aleph Farms announced the launch of Aleph Zero, a program designed to forward the company’s vision for advancing food security by producing fresh quality meat anywhere, independent of the effects of climate change and the availability of local natural resources. The core mission of the new initiative is centered on introducing new capabilities for the local production of fresh, quality meat even in the most harsh and remote environments, including in space.
